Delicious and healthy oat bars can be taken with you for a snack, given to children to school. They replenish their energy reserves after sports. Oat bars are the perfect snack!
It is very easy to prepare such bars at home from available products, while you will definitely be sure of their quality and benefits, since the composition can be adjusted at your discretion.

For oat bars, use long-cooked oatmeal. You can add not only cranberries to them, but also any nuts, candied fruits, seeds.
Homemade oatmeal bars are sure to please you and your kids. Prepare them - it's not difficult at all.

Ingredients:

  • oatmeal - 350 g
  • butter - 220 g
  • sugar - 150 g
  • dried cranberries - 100 g
  • invert syrup (honey) - 80 g

Step by step recipe

1. First, let's prepare the dried cranberries. We wash it with water and fill it with boiling water. Leave it for 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes, drain the water and dry the cranberries with paper towels.
With the help of such simple actions, we get rid of the chemicals with which dried fruits are processed.

2. Put 220 g of butter in a saucepan, add 150 g of sugar and pour out 80 g of invert syrup.In this recipe, invert syrup can be replaced with honey.

3. We put everything on the stove. Heat over low heat until all the ingredients are combined.
Everything has warmed up, the sugar has dissolved, remove the mixture from the heat.

4. Pour 350 g of oatmeal and prepared cranberries into the pan.
Mix everything well.
I use the most common oat flakes that need to be cooked for 5-10 minutes, not instant ones. Instead of cranberries, you can add any dried fruits to oat bars, for example: raisins, prunes or dried apricots. Sour dried fruits are best.

5. Cover the baking dish with parchment paper. I took a form measuring 22 * ​​30 cm.
Pour the prepared oatmeal mixture into a baking dish and align it over the entire form.

6. We put the form in the oven preheated to 160 degrees and bake for 35 minutes.

7. The blank for the bars is baked, take it out of the oven and leave it on the table to cool for about 15 minutes.
15 minutes have passed, the oatmeal is still a little warm, cut it with a knife into bars.
Let the bars cool completely and they will become crispy.

The oat bars are very tasty. These bars are great for a snack and can be safely given to children instead of sweets. Be sure to cook them, the more they are prepared very simply.
