I'm making custard donuts for breakfast today. As always, my recipe is simple, quick and tasty. These donuts are made from the most common products that every housewife has in the refrigerator.

Ingredients:

flour
butter
water
eggs
sugar
salt
icing sugar for dusting
vegetable oil for frying

Pour half a glass of water into a small saucepan, add 50 grams of butter (can be replaced with baking margarine) and put on the stove.

As soon as the mass boils, remove from heat, add 1 teaspoon of sugar and a pinch of salt, then add 75 grams of flour (this is about 2.5 heaped tablespoons).

An important point: flour must be added all at once and stir quickly. Then we put the pan on the stove again and knead (brew) the dough, constantly stirring with a spoon. You need to stir until the dough begins to move away from the sides of the pan.

Now we remove the pan from the stove, wait for the dough to cool down a little. We beat in one egg, stir the dough until a uniform smooth texture, then we beat in another one and stir again.

The choux pastry is ready, you can fry the donuts. I do this: I heat vegetable oil in a frying pan, then form a small ball with two teaspoons and immerse it in the oil. There should be a lot of oil in the pan, donuts are deep-fried.

Fry the donuts until golden brown, then put them on paper towels to remove the excess oil. Sprinkle the donuts with icing sugar.
