After the New Year holidays, I completely gave up on-the-shop sweets. We have eaten too much sugar, dyes, preservatives and much more, frankly, harmful during these days. Therefore, we switched to dried fruit sweets. There are a lot of options, and today I will tell you about one of the simplest, but very tasty recipes.
As a basis, I took dried apricots, they do not have a high glycemic index, so such candies can be eaten even by those who monitor their blood sugar levels and are losing weight.
I soaked dried apricots in water for an hour and then washed them well several times. I also soaked the nuts for an hour, you can take any, I have almonds today.
I don’t blanch the almonds, because it tastes more interesting to me. Using a blender, I chopped it into small crumbs, and in the same way I chop dried apricots.
I combine everything in a bowl and add coconut flakes to them, mix well.
I also add a little honey, literally one level tablespoon. This makes the mass more sticky. Honey is, of course, the same sugar, only natural. But from the whole mass, about 20 sweets will turn out, so the amount of honey per candy is minimal.
Next, with wet hands, I shape the candies of the size I need and put them on a serving plate.
Composition: Dried apricots 350 grams, nuts 150 grams, coconut
50 grams, honey 1 table boat without a slide. The weight of the ingredients is indicative.
