Cinnabon Cinnamon Rolls

Admin

Snail-shaped cinnamon rolls topped with a generous helping of cream cheese frosting are popular in American and European coffee shops. And the homeland of this delicacy is Sweden. It has its own date - October 4 is celebrated as International Cinnamon Roll Day. This holiday was created by the Swedish Home Baking Council. Is it a joke holiday or a real one - it's hard to say. But the fact that "Cinnabon" have become the world classics of baking is for sure.

Ingredients:

Dough:

  • Wheat flour - 540 g
  • Milk - 280 ml
  • Butter - 60 g
  • Chicken egg - 1 pc.
  • Sugar - 80 g
  • Salt - ½ tsp
  • Dry yeast - 7 g
  • Vanillin - to taste

Filling:

  • Butter - 60 g
  • Brown sugar - 180 g
  • Cinnamon (ground) - 4 tsp

Glaze:

  • Milk - 50 ml
  • Mascarpone cheese - 250 g
  • Powdered sugar - 60 g
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Lemon zest - 1 tsp
Step 1 of 15

Five ingredients are required for Cinnabon buns: dough, margarine (or butter), brown sugar, cinnamon and icing. Prepare your ingredients.

The butter for the dough must be melted and cooled (to about body temperature), and the butter for the filling must be taken out of the refrigerator in advance so that it becomes soft and easily spreads over the surface.

Use white sugar for the dough and brown sugar for the filling.

Step 2 of 15

The preparation of Cinnabon buns begins with kneading yeast dough. Activate dry yeast. To do this, heat the milk to body temperature (about 36-38 ° C). Add sugar and yeast, stir. Cover the crockery and leave in a warm place for 20-25 minutes or until a frothy cap appears.

Step 3 of 15

Mix flour with salt and vanilla, make a well and pour prepared yeast mixture and melted butter.

Step 4 of 15

Knead a soft dough. It almost does not stick and keeps its shape well.

Transfer the dough to a bowl greased with a few drops of vegetable oil, cover and leave warm to rise for about 1.5 hours.

Step 5 of 15

During this time, the dough must be kneaded 1-2 times, and it will certainly rise again.

Step 6 of 15

For the filling, combine brown sugar and cinnamon.

Cinnabons can be formed. Divide the dough in two for convenience. Roll each of them into a thin rectangular layer. Lubricate all layers with soft oil and then sprinkle with a mixture of sugar and cinnamon.

Step 7 of 15

Roll the filled dough into a tight roll and pinch so that it does not unfold when slicing.

Step 8 of 15

Cut into pieces 2-2.5 cm wide.

Step 9 of 15

Place each piece, cut side up, into a baking dish. You need to leave space between them.

Step 10 of 15

Cover the pan with future buns and leave in a warm place for 20-25 minutes or until they increase in volume. Meanwhile, turn on the oven to preheat to 190-205 ° C.

Step 11 of 15

Bake the buns for about 25 minutes, or until tender. Until then, prepare the frosting. To do this, whisk all the ingredients together until a smooth and homogeneous mixture is obtained.

While the buns are hot, pour a generous dose of frosting over them and leave to soak for 10-15 minutes.

Step 12 of 15

Delicious and flavorful buns are ready to serve.

Creamy frosting soaked every inch of the butter dough.

Step 13

Cinnabon cinnamon rolls are a real dessert.

Sweet? Certainly. When exposed to the heat of the oven, the filling ingredients melt to form a fragrant caramel.

Calorie? Of course, but this is not an everyday dish, which means that sometimes you can and should pamper yourself and your loved ones.

Perhaps this pastry can be classified as a "must-have for cooking". And do not wait for October 4 to taste world-famous delicacies. Start cooking now!
