✅ 👌 Probably, many people know and love the taste of potato pancakes. But few people, most likely, have tried to cook pancakes the size of a frying pan!
Today I want to offer you a recipe for making a very tasty potato pie, which tastes very much like everyone's favorite potato pancakes. But, it is prepared in one go in a pan, literally in half an hour. And you do not have to constantly stand at the stove.
✨ It's just as tasty, but much more convenient to cook. I only need 5 minutes to clean and grind the ingredients, and the rest of the time the cake is cooked on the stove almost without my participation. It turns out very tasty - perfect for breakfast or a snack! 🥰
📕To make potato pie you will need: 🍲
Potatoes (peeled weight) - 600 g
Chicken eggs (large) - 3 pcs.
Hard or semi-hard cheese - a small piece, about 50-60 g
Salt - 0.5 tsp l.
Ground black pepper - 0.5 tsp l.
Dried garlic (optional) - pinch
Semolina - 2 tbsp. l.
Vegetable oil - for greasing the pan, just a little

First of all, we peel the potatoes, and then rub them on a coarse grater into any suitable container (bowl). In this case, you do not need to squeeze the grated potatoes from the potato juice. And also grate a piece of cheese and add to the potatoes. We drive in 3 eggs there.
Add some black pepper and salt. For flavor, add garlic or other spices - paprika, turmeric, ready-made seasoning for potatoes (to your choice and to taste). Mix everything thoroughly.
After adding salt, the potatoes will begin to actively produce juice, but again, I repeat, you don't need to squeeze it! Just add a few tablespoons of semolina to the mass. Semolina can be replaced with the most ordinary flour, but it will not turn out so tasty and tender.
Once again, mix everything well and let the potato "dough" stand for a while. During this time, pour a small amount of vegetable oil into the pan and put it on a low heat to warm up.
We spread the potato-cheese mass in a preheated pan, level it with a thin layer along the entire bottom. Cooking the pie under the lid, over low heat, for about 15 minutes. During the cooking process, we monitor the crust - it should turn golden, but not burn.

When the underside of the pie is browned, turn it over with a large flat plate or skillet lid on the other side. Cover again and cook for about 10 minutes.
You can try the hearty potato pie right away. Delicious with sour cream and fresh herbs. Can be served as a side dish or as a snack. Cook, taste, Bon appetit!
