If you want a delicious dessert, but inexpensive and quick, then prepare this orange dessert. This is an affordable treat with just 3 ingredients.
Such a dessert without baking turns out to be light, with a delicate texture and very tasty. It resembles the oriental sweetness of Turkish delight.
Making this dessert is not difficult at all. It only takes 15 minutes of your active time.
Adults and children love this no-bake orange dessert.
I use commercial juice in the recipe, but you can use freshly squeezed juice and thus make the dessert even more useful.
It can be cooked both for every day and on the festive table, it will look appropriate.
Ingredients:
- orange juice - 800 ml
- sugar - 70 g
- corn starch - 65 g
- coconut flakes - 50 g
- pistachios - 5 g (for decoration)
Step by step recipe
1. Pour 800 ml of orange juice into a saucepan. I use a store-bought one, but you can also take freshly squeezed.
Pour 70 g of sugar and 65 g of corn starch here.
Mix everything with a whisk so that there are no lumps.
2. We put the saucepan on the stove on a fire a little less than average.
Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring constantly, so that it does not burn to the bottom of the pan.
You can also use orange nectar for dessert, but then adjust the sweetness to your liking.
When the mixture boils, cook it over low heat for another 1-2 minutes and remove from heat.
3. Pour warm water into tall and narrow glasses and pour it out immediately.
This is done so that later it would be easier to get the dessert and heat the glasses a little.
Pour the still hot dessert into prepared glasses. From this amount of ingredients, I got 3 glasses of 250 ml.
Leave at room temperature until it cools completely. When everything has cooled down, cover the glasses with cling film and put them in the refrigerator for an hour, or longer.
4. Remove the completely frozen dessert from the refrigerator and remove the film.
We hold the glass sideways and insert a narrow knife between the glass wall and the dessert. Thus, we start up the air and the dessert comes out of the mold very easily.
5. Cut it into 4 approximately equal portioned pieces. Roll each piece in coconut flakes and immediately put it on a dish.
6. Cut 4-5 pistachios into small pieces.
Decorate each dessert with pistachios on top.
The dish is ready, you can serve it on the table.
