Especially often I prepare such a salad at the end of winter. There is a lot of sauerkraut, and potatoes are always at hand. The salad turns out to be very tasty and healthy.

I usually eat it even without a side dish. And I love this salad just warm!

Therefore, I prepare all the ingredients in advance while the potatoes are boiling. Onions are usually pickled (it tastes better).

I cut the onion into half rings, add a little salt, sugar and vinegar, fill it with water and mix. I leave it like that for at least 15 minutes. Then I drain the water from the onion - and you can add it to the salad.

But if the onion is sweet, you can not marinate it.

I peel and boil the potatoes in salted water, as usual. I don’t pour water from potatoes! I am preparing a very tasty dough for pies from it. Also very tasty and lush bread is obtained with potato broth. If these recipes are interesting - write in the comments, I will definitely share the recipe.

I cut the boiled warm potatoes and put them in a salad bowl, add prepared onions, sauerkraut, herbs and bell peppers. I fill it with fragrant sunflower oil.

I stir and serve immediately. Very, very tasty!

RECIPE:

• Potatoes peeled and boiled in salted water (warm) - 250 g
• Sauerkraut - 200 g
• Bulgarian pepper - 1 pc.
• Onion (small) - 1 pc.
• Sugar - 1 tsp.
• Vinegar (table 9%) - 1 tsp.
• Water - 100 ml
• Ground black pepper
• Sunflower oil (aromatic)
• Salt
