For those who love pea porridge, I want to offer a simple recipe. The porridge turns out to be very tasty, satisfying thanks to the carbohydrates and protein contained in the dish.

I needed the following ingredients:

  • 2 chicken breast fillets - 550 g,
  • onion - 85 g
  • medium carrots - 120 g,
  • peas - 235 g,
  • salt, pepper, dry garlic, sweet paprika, bay leaf,
  • 2 g of olive oil.

Preparation.

The peas must be soaked in advance for several hours.

Finely chop the onion. I cut the carrots larger so that they stand out brightly on the plate and the dish looks more appetizing.

Fry the onions and carrots in a drop of olive oil (I used an oil spray and used about 2 grams of oil).

While the onions and carrots are fried, cut the chicken breast into medium pieces. Add the breast to the vegetables and lightly fry. Don't forget about spices: salt, black pepper, dry garlic, sweet paprika.

Lightly fried the chicken breast and add the peas. Fill with hot water so that it covers the peas, add a little salt, add the bay leaf and simmer over medium heat until cooked, covered with a lid.

The cooked porridge and its consistency will depend on your preferences. If you want more boiled pea porridge and thinner - add a little more water during cooking.

The result is a very satisfying porridge with a good protein content, which provides saturation for a long time.
