✅If you love beets, then this recipe will certainly surprise you! now I often buy the cheapest beets and cook a very unusual dish out of it: hot as a side dish, and cold as a snack. Well, it turns out very tasty that even my husband eats with pleasure (although he doesn't really like beets).
This beetroot dish is perfect for lunch and dinner. It is easy to prepare, it turns out on a budget, and the taste is amazing. Beets are "revealed" in a new way. Learns are very tender, aromatic, soft and with a piquant taste. 👍
I buy the most ordinary, dirty beets - 24 rubles per kilogram. We are already selling myta, all even, but its price is 48 rubles per kilogram. Nothing, we'll wash it ourselves, right?! What's the point of overpaying? 🤷♂️

Beets need to be washed, peeled and cut in half.
The beets now need to be cut into thin pieces, but not until the end. We need to get a "fan". To do this, I take sushi shelves (you can just 2 pencils), put beets between them and cut them into thin slices.

Transfer the beets to a baking dish and fill with water.
Now let's prepare the marinade. This is exactly the "highlight" of this dish.
In a deep plate I mix: the zest of half an orange (yes, an orange), squeeze the juice from half an orange, add sunflower or olive oil, salt. I stir it. Add black pepper if desired.
Lubricate each beet with marinade so that it gets between each piece. Pour the remaining marinade into a mold.
I cover the beets with foil and cook in preheated to 180 degrees for 40 minutes. That's not all!
We take out the beets, remove the foil, pour the resulting juice and again in the oven for 10-15 minutes until the liquid evaporates.
Serve beets with white sauce (see the video below for the recipe) and rice. Enjoy your meal!
