An honest review of the inexpensive Milka chocolate that I bought at Pyaterochka.
Recently I was at Pyaterochka and, while standing in line at the checkout, I saw a giant Milka chocolate bar. It cost only 169 rubles per 300 grams. I looked at the bright picture and decided to take it for a test.
Usually I always check the composition before buying, but I didn't have time - it was my turn. Already at home I began to study the composition and realized that I didn't want to eat that. But I'll talk about this a little later, but now let's show you what a chocolate bar looks like.
What the packaging looks like
The design of the chocolate is just right. On the package is a huge piece of chocolate, with a large nut, a thick layer of filling and dripping caramel. The picture is very juicy, but in reality, let's watch.
What is inside
When you take a chocolate bar in your hands, you get the feeling that there is a large nut in each slice. But when I opened the package, it turned out that it was due to the shape of the chocolate. In general, the chocolate bar looks like a chocolate bar, nothing special.
If you break the chocolate bar, it becomes clear that the image from the package is greatly exaggerated. No, all the layers and fillings are in place, only they don't look so juicy. The hazelnut nut is so tiny. Most of all the fillings in the chocolate. It's time to give it a try.
What a taste
But the taste of chocolate is strange. I have no complaints about the chocolate layer and nuts - they are delicious. But I didn't like the taste of the filling. The filling is sugary sweet and very oily.
This oily flavor is found in foods high in palm oil. And now is the time to find out the composition.
What composition
Before looking at the composition, I want to make an important note. The composition of all products is indicated in descending order. That is, in the first place is the ingredient, which is the most, in the last - which is the least. Remember this, and now let's take a look at the composition.
Sugar comes first, which is quite normal for filled chocolate. But I was attracted by the ingredient in second place - vegetable fat (palm). It is from palm fat that most of the chocolate is made, or rather the filling.
Now it is clear why chocolate is so cheap - palm oil is a very cheap raw material.
However, this oil is not very useful. World Health Organization in its recommendations writesthat the consumption of palm oil should be minimized. But in our country considerthat a small amount of palm oil can be eaten, however, what dose is considered harmless is not indicated anywhere.
After reading the composition, I didn't feel like eating a chocolate bar. It's time to take stock.
Outcomes
I love Milka chocolates, but I'm not ready to buy chocolate with such a composition. In addition to the composition, the chocolate does not yet have the most pleasant taste, mainly because of the filling. It is sugary sweet and oily in taste. I have no complaints about chocolate and nuts, they are delicious here, but there are clearly less of them than palm oil.
