I want to share with you a recipe for meat hedgehogs with rice. A simple recipe that will save you time and prepare a meal for the whole family.
The ingredients I needed to prepare the dish:
- minced meat (I have a turkey breast and lean pork 50-50) - 1kg,
- carrots - 100 g
- onions - 330 g,
- parboiled rice - 150 g dry,
- tomato sauce - 100 g (or dilute tomato paste 20 g in water),
- garlic - 20 g
- dill - 20 g
- 5 g olive oil for frying,
- salt, black pepper, dry garlic, suneli hops.
Cooking.
We prepare minced meat from turkey breast (or chicken) and lean pork.
If you want to reduce the calorie content of the dish, take the minced meat only from the turkey or chicken breast, but it is better to add at least a thigh or drumstick to it, so that there is no too dry meat.
We also add 100 g of onion to the minced meat.
Salt and pepper the minced meat, add generously dry garlic and suneli hops.
Add the washed rice to the minced meat and mix everything well.
Finely chop the remaining onion, grate the carrots on a coarse grater, chop the garlic finely (I grated it on a fine grater).
Fry onions, garlic and carrots in a drop of oil.
Add tomato sauce, salt, pepper, bay leaf, allspice and fill with water.
Let it boil.
While the broth is boiling, form the hedgehogs.
Salt minced meat, pepper, add dry garlic, suneli hops, and washed rice. Knead the minced meat well.
We form hedgehogs. Be sure to beat off a portion of the minced meat for the hedgehog several times on the palm of your hand, so they will better hold together and will not fall apart.
The water has boiled and we send the hedgehogs to the broth. We reduce the heat and simmer until tender - 25-30 minutes.
At the very end, sprinkle with your favorite herbs, I have dill.
