  • Grate potatoes on a coarse grater and put them in cold water.

  • Add salt, dry thyme or some other seasoning there.

  • Heat a skillet with oil.

  • Spread evenly throughout the pan, squeeze but do not stir.
  • Keep on medium heat for at least five minutes.
  • Move it slightly away from the sides.
  • At this time, finely chop the onions and mushrooms.
  • If nothing else is served with these potatoes, it will still be very tasty.
  • Fry the onions in another pan and add the mushrooms to it.

  • Leave on minimal heat so that the cake is fried, not soggy and does not burn.
  • If the potatoes have absorbed all the fat, you can add a little oil.
  • When the excess liquid has evaporated from the mushrooms, they need to be salted and black pepper added.
  • Fry for another couple of minutes and turn off the heat.
  • The inverted potato has passed four minutes and is ready. Therefore, I will add heat so that it bakes from the bottom.
  • Such potatoes are served with cheese, fried mushrooms, sour cream, with lightly salted fish, with fried brisket or bacon.

500-550 g raw potatoes
4-5 g salt
30 g melted butter (vegetable oil can be used)
