✨Hello, my name is Oksana! I am glad to welcome everyone who has looked at my page. Thanks so much for taking the time to read my recipes! I would be grateful for your comments and subscriptions!
✅👌Now Orthodox Christians are fasting! This is the time when those who are fasting abstain from eating food of animal origin. This category of products includes milk, kefir, sour cream, and eggs... But, how can you bake baked goods without these ingredients? Is this really possible !?
In fact, there are a lot of recipes for lean baking. And I know one of these cooking recipes delicious cake for tea, with which I want to share with you.
In this recipe, there are no dairy or fermented milk products, no eggs, but the pie is always airy, tender and very tasty!
✨I advise you to take note of the recipe for this cake if you want to please your family and yourself with something sweet in the post. Or when your refrigerator is just temporarily empty... 🥰 Rather, you don't even have to look into the refrigerator, because this cake is actually prepared with water, sugar and flour.
📕To make a cake you will need: 🥙
Water - 280 ml
Sugar - 150 g
Dry fast-acting yeast - 1.5 tsp l.
Sunflower oil - 70 ml
Zest from 1 lemon
Turmeric - 1/2 tsp l.
Baking powder - 10 g
Salt - a pinch
Wheat flour - 300 g
👨🏻🍳 Let's start cooking... ⤵️⤵️⤵️
We measure the required amount of water and pour it into a deep bowl, convenient for kneading dough. Add sugar and a pinch of salt.
Mix thoroughly with a whisk or spoon for a few minutes, until all the sugar and salt crystals are dissolved. Now add the zest removed from 1 medium lemon, pour in the vegetable oil. You can not necessarily use sunflower, but always odorless.
Next, we measure the flour and be sure to sift it to saturate it with oxygen and get rid of small debris. Pour the flour into the liquid ingredients in the bowl. Then add turmeric - this spice will not affect the taste of the cake, but it will give it a beautiful yellowish (sunny) color. And also add baking powder and yeast to the bowl. It is the combination of these ingredients that will create a very fluffy and soft crumb. You can, of course, use only baking powder, but the same effect will not be - the baked goods will turn out to be lower, less ruddy. I have already checked this many times - don't even argue! Both baking powder and yeast are needed here! And besides, if you add only baking powder, the cake will bake much longer.
Beat the contents of the bowl with a mixer for 3-4 minutes, until the dough is smooth and fluffy. Pour the prepared dough into any suitable baking dish (grease the bottom and sides with vegetable oil, sprinkle with flour or semolina).
And we send the cake to bake... in a COLD oven !!!
That's not all, read to the end ↓↓↓👇👇👇
Set the oven temperature to 170 degrees. The cake will bake for about 45-50 minutes, but you are looking at the functionality of your oven. We check the readiness with a splinter - there should be no raw dough. Just look how lush and ruddy it became after baking! And now an equally important detail! A pie prepared according to this recipe must be given a little time to "rest", and only then cut. If you cut the pie hot, the crumb will seem to you dull, with a cooled pie this will not happen!

You can sprinkle with icing sugar or icing on top of the cake (sugar or cocoa - like mine). The pie turns out to be the most delicate, with a fine-pored, airy crumb and a pleasant lemon aroma. If you don't know the recipe itself, you can't even believe that it is simply cooked in water! Cook, taste, enjoy your tea!
