Such cakes are prepared very quickly, in a frying pan. You don't even need eggs to cook them. And the tomato choux dough turns out to be soft, pliable and very pleasant to work with.

Such tomato cakes can be prepared by every housewife. You can experiment with fillings as you wish. You can add any kind of meat, sausages, mushrooms and vegetables here.
These bright tortillas on tomato dough are perfect for a snack or tea for every day. They can even be served instead of bread for soups.
And this cake recipe will appeal to everyone who follows a lean menu.

Ingredients:

Dough:

  • flour - 400 g
  • water - 200 ml
  • tomato juice - 200 ml
  • vegetable oil - 4 tbsp. l.
  • salt - 1/2 tsp l.

Filling:

  • boiled turkey fillet - 500 g
  • cheese - 400 g
  • green onions - 1 bunch

Step by step recipe

1. First, prepare the tortillas dough.
Pour 200 ml of water, 200 ml of tomato juice into a saucepan, pour about half a tsp. salt and add 4 tbsp. vegetable oil.


We put everything on fire.

2. When the mixture boils, remove it from the heat and immediately add 400 g of flour.

3. Mix everything quickly with a spoon so that the flour is brewed. We transfer the dough to a bowl so that it is convenient to knead. Mix the dough a little more with a spoon.

4. When the dough has cooled to a more comfortable temperature, knead it with your hands.
Cover the finished dough with a lid and prepare the filling.

5. Cut 500 g of boiled turkey fillet into cubes. Instead of turkey fillets, you can use other meat, ham or sausage.
400 g of cheese three on a coarse grater.
Finely chop a bunch of green onions.

6. Form a long sausage from the finished dough. We cut it into 16 approximately equal parts.

7. Roll a ball from each part. We transfer all the balls to a bowl and cover with a lid so that they do not wind up.

8. We take one ball and roll it into a thin circle. The dough rolls very easily. It is pliable, soft and pleasant to the touch.

9. Put the rolled circle in a hot frying pan. You do not need to grease the pan with anything. Fry the cake over medium heat for about 1 minute. When the cake is fried on one side, turn it over to the other side.

10. Put the filling on one side of the cake. We spread the prepared meat, grated cheese and green onions. Cover the filling by folding the cake in half. We fry it for another half a minute and turn it over to the other side.

11. After half a minute, remove the prepared stuffed cake from the pan. On top of the still hot cake, if desired, you can grease with butter.
In this method, we prepare all the cakes.
