Incredibly delicious baked meatloaf wrapped in bacon. Baking in bacon makes the meat tender and juicy. It melts in your mouth. And the spices emphasize the meat taste and add an appetizing aroma to the meat.
This meatloaf will perfectly complement the cold cuts on the festive table. But it will also look worthy as an independent dish. Men are always delighted with such a meat snack!
The main thing is that it is completely easy to prepare such a roll, and it is almost impossible to spoil it. The preparation is extremely simple, and the result is amazing!
I highly recommend preparing meatloaf in bacon for a festive table.
Ingredients:
- meat (pork tenderloin) - 1 kg
- sliced bacon - 10 strips
- garlic - 5 cloves
- marjoram - 2 tsp l.
- salt to taste
- ground pepper - to taste
Step by step recipe
1. For a roll, you need 1 kg of pork tenderloin.
First, we cut the meat along the entire length so that the thickness of the meat layer is about 1 cm. As you cut, unfold the piece of meat and continue to cut. You should get a rectangular layer of meat of approximately the same thickness.
For the roll, it is advisable to choose tender meat without connective tissue.
2. We beat the resulting layer of meat with a meat hammer on one side.
3. Salt the meat to taste over the entire surface. Pepper well. Sprinkle for 2 tsp. l. dried marjoram. Squeeze out 4-5 cloves of garlic through a press.
Spread all the seasonings evenly over the meat with your hands.
4. Place 3 strips of chopped bacon on one side of the meat.
Roll the meat and bacon into a tight roll.
5. Put the bacon strips overlapping each other on top of the roll. Bacon will prevent the meat from losing a lot of liquid and due to this, the meat will turn out to be more juicy and tender.
To make the roll keep its shape when baking, we tie it with culinary thread. Instead of culinary thread, you can use regular cotton thread folded several times.
6. Grease the baking dish with vegetable oil. We shift the meatloaf into the prepared form.
We put in the oven preheated to 190 degrees. We bake a kilogram piece of meat for 60 minutes. For each additional 500 g of meat, add another 20 minutes of baking.
7. Take the finished roll out of the oven and let it cool.
We remove the threads from the already cooled roll.
Cut the finished roll into portions.
The festive meatloaf turned out to be appetizing, beautiful and very tasty. Delicate and juicy meat goes well with seasonings and the spicy taste of garlic.
