If you want to prepare snack baskets for the festive table, but did not find tartlets in the store, then there is a way out! You can use puff pastry instead of tartlets.
The result is chic crispy little baskets. They are not difficult to prepare at all. You can fill them with a variety of fillings. For example, I really like the combination of cream cheese, balyk and quail eggs. And slices of cherry tomatoes and greens add juiciness and brightness to the entire appetizer.
Such baskets, unlike waffle tartlets, do not sour. They remain appetizing and crispy throughout the meal.
On the festive table, they look bright and quickly fly into plates.
Be sure to take note of the idea of such a bright and tasty snack. It is perfect for any festive table, as well as for a buffet or banquet menu.
Ingredients:
- yeast-free puff pastry - 450 g
- cream cheese - 150 g
- balyk - 100 g
- cherry tomato - 6 pcs.
- boiled quail eggs - 6 pcs.
- lettuce leaves
Step by step recipe
1. First, we will prepare baskets for a snack.
Take a sheet of yeast-free puff pastry and carefully roll it into a rectangular sheet about 3 mm thick. Cut the rolled sheet of dough into 6 approximately equal squares. In total, you will need 2 sheets of ready-made puff yeast-free dough with a total weight of 450 g.
2. Grease the muffins with melted butter. Put the cut pieces of dough into the prepared molds, forming baskets from them.
3. We put everything in the oven preheated to 180 degrees. We bake for about 15-20 minutes.
4. While the baskets are baked, prepare the filling.
Cut 6 cherry tomatoes into quarters.
Cut 6 boiled quail eggs lengthwise into 2 halves.
Break the lettuce into smaller pieces.
5. Fold 100 g of thinly sliced balyk in half and twist into tubes.
6. Put cream cheese, such as Philadelphia cheese, in a cooking bag. For decoration, I will use an open star attachment.
7. The baskets are already baked, take them out of the molds and let them cool. The baskets are very easy to get out of the molds.
8. We collect the appetizer.
Squeeze some curd cheese into a basket. Glue a small leaf of lettuce to this cheese. Here we put a twisted balyk, two slices of tomato and half an egg.
9. Place the cream cheese flowers on top. Here is such a beautiful basket.
Using this method, we fill in all the baskets. Instead of cream cheese, you can use sour cream with a fat content of at least 25%, only it must first be hung in gauze overnight so that the excess whey is glass and a little salt. You can also use the homemade cream cheese making method.
The tartlet appetizer turned out to be very beautiful and tasty. It's easy to prepare, and it looks amazing on the table. Be sure to cook it, it's very simple.
