And I spend more time on my weekends for cooking, I cook something for the week ahead - for example, I make some semi-finished products and freeze them, and of course I make sure to bake something.

Today I want to offer you a recipe delicious pastries... And, to be honest, I don't even know what it would be correct to call it - it's kind of like a pie, or you can say buns, or even soft cookies.

I cook these pastries according to the recipe, which is written in my old cookbook, which I got from my mother, and has the name "Just for tea"!

Indeed, everything is very simple to prepare and all the products for cooking are very affordable! But it turns out very, very tasty, I recommend trying it.

📕Ingredients for making delicious pastries for tea: 🥙

For the test:
Wheat flour - 250 g
Kefir - 125 ml
Butter - 125 g
Baking powder - 5 g
For crumb:
Butter - 75 g
Wheat flour - 60 g
Sugar - 85 g
Vanillin - a pinch

👨🏻‍🍳 Let's start cooking... ⤵️⤵️⤵️

First of all, we prepare the dough, because he needs a little "rest". Sift flour (250 g) into a bowl and rub well-frozen butter on a coarse grater. To prevent the oil from sticking to the grater, the slice should be periodically dipped in flour. Before cooking, it is advisable to hold the oil in the freezer so that it hardens, but does not freeze.

We quickly rub everything with our fingers to form an oil-flour crumb. Add baking powder and mix.

Now we pour kefir into a bowl.

And knead the soft, slightly sticky dough. You don't need to knead for a long time. As soon as the dough begins to gather into a single lump, we stop kneading.

We transfer the dough into a plastic bag or wrap it with cling film and hide it in the refrigerator for half an hour.

And at this time, we prepare the crumb for sprinkling. To do this, first sift 60 grams of flour into a bowl, add sugar and vanillin and mix everything well with each other. And then we rub a piece of hard butter on a grater.

We also grind everything with our hands until we get crumbs. It is important that the butter does not start to melt, otherwise the sprinkling will not work.

Next, take out the dough from the refrigerator and divide it into 4 parts. Sprinkle a little flour on the table and spread out 1 piece of dough. Roll it out to a thickness of 2-4 mm (depending on the size of your baking sheet (baking dish); I have a baking sheet 18 x 23 cm).

Grease a baking sheet with oil and sprinkle with semolina or line with baking parchment. Put the rolled dough on top. Sprinkle it with 1/3 of the whole crumb.

And then we do everything according to the same scheme - roll out the dough, crumb onto the dough, and so on. The last layer is dough.

Now, you can leave everything in this form and send it to bake, I sometimes cook like that... But, according to the written recipe, we need to cut our future pastries and divide into several pieces.

And now we send to bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 35-40 minutes. We bake until golden brown.
