Ingredients:
- apricots - 1.5 kg (pitted)
- sugar - 1.5 kg
- orange - 2 pcs.
- lemon -1/2 pcs.
Step by step recipe
1. First, let's prepare all the ingredients.
We take apricots, wash them and cut them in half, taking out the seeds.
2. Remove the zest from 2 oranges on a fine grater. We remove only the orange part.
Remove the zest from half of the lemon using a fine grater.
3. Now we cut off all the peel from the oranges with a knife. Peel the lemon in the same way.
4. Cut the citrus fruits into small pieces so that it is convenient to put them in a meat grinder. If there are bones, then they also need to be removed.
5. The next step is to twist all the apricots into a meat grinder. Twist the prepared oranges and lemon in the same way.
6. Transfer the finished fruit mass to a large saucepan. To this we add already peeled lemon zest and orange zest. Also pour 1.5 kg of sugar into the pan.
7. We put everything on fire. Stir and bring to a boil over a slightly less than medium heat. When the mass boils, reduce the heat to the minimum and cook the jam for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
8. It's been 20 minutes, the jam is ready. We pour it into sterilized jars.
From this amount of ingredients, I got 5 half liter jars of jam.
9. We roll up the jars with sterilized lids.
This jam can be stored in a closet at room temperature or in a basement.
The jam turned out to be very tasty and aromatic. When the jam is just boiled and even hotter, only the taste of citrus is felt, but after cooling, the jam becomes very tasty and harmonious. It perfectly combines a pleasant apricot flavor and a fragrant orange flavor.
