My longtime subscribers know that I prefer store-bought homemade baked goods. I am always confused by the composition of the confectionery, and the one cooked at home is always tastier. Today I want to share with you a recipe for very quick bagels that can be made with any filling. I spend only 15-20 minutes making bagels, the oven does the rest.
I'll start by making the dough:
- Kefir 200 ml
- Egg 1 pc
- Sour cream 2 tbsp. spoons
- Vegetable oil 2 tbsp. spoons
- Salt 0.5 tsp
- Flour 450 - 500 gr
- Baking powder 0.5 tsp
We mix all the ingredients in one container and only then add the flour gradually. The dough should turn out to be a soft elastic dough that does not stick to your hands.
This time I use dried apricots as a filling, I just grind it with a blender. I like light sourness, so I don't add sugar, dried apricots can be replaced with dates, raisins or nuts mixed with honey. There is already a place for fantasies to roam.
Next, I divide the dough into three parts and roll it out as evenly as possible. I cut the circle into triangles as in the photo above and put one teaspoon of chopped dried apricots at the base of each.
Quickly fold the bagels and place them on a baking sheet. Be sure to grease each bagel with yolk mixed with milk for a more beautiful golden color.
Bagels are baked in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for only 20 minutes. While the bagels are hot, you can lightly sprinkle them with powdered sugar.
