Summer holidays in our Russian resorts are always accompanied by boiled corn. This dish has long become an integral part of the Crimean or Krasnodar coastal towns.

Prices for cobs of the finished queen of the fields are different, they often bite. For example, this year an ear of corn (hot, boiled) in Crimea costs from 50 rubles to 100 rubles per piece.

We also got hooked on corn for a long time, only now we buy it "right from the garden", for the conventional 10-15 rubles per ear. I go to the Kolkhoz market, stock up and then cook. And if you know the places where corn grows, then in general the cost price will be cheap.

But getting fresh cobs is one thing, but how to cook them? To make it juicy, tasty and right?

I'll tell you everything now.

Ingredients:

corn on the cob
salt
water
vegetable oil

How to cook:

1. Choosing the right ears is half the battle and success. I like the corn that is slightly yellowish. Of course, ideally, take lighter ones so that the grains are milky. But I do not recommend completely white - they can weld with voids inside.

2. Clean the cobs from the green parts, the shell, remove the "hairs", cut off both ends.

Rinse and inspect for damage.

3. Boil water in a saucepan. Do not salt!

4. Dip the cobs in boiling water, reduce heat and cover the dishes with a lid.

Corn can float in boiling water, and it should.

5. With a low boil, ears of this size should cook for 10-15 minutes.

As soon as the characteristic aroma of boiled corn has gone, the dish is almost ready.

6. The finished corn will change color and look "denser".

7. Turn off the heat and leave the ears in boiling water under the lid for another 15 minutes.

8. Then put the hot corn in a bag, grease the cobs with butter (butter or vegetable oil), season with salt and tie the top of the bag tightly and tightly.

We take corn in this form to the beach.
