I am a big lover of seafood, but my husband respects only fish, well, sometimes shrimp, he is indifferent to squid. I found an interesting, albeit very simple, recipe for their preparation. I cooked it literally in 10 minutes, and this appetizer disappeared from the table instantly.

So, I peeled the squid, just filled them with hot water, the whole skin easily separated from the meat, washed and cut. You can cut squids as you like, I cut them into squares, then, when cooked, they fold beautifully into a tube.

I sent them to the pan and fried in vegetable oil with the addition of butter. If a large amount of liquid forms, it must be drained. The most important thing in cooking squid is not to overexpose them on fire, otherwise they will become rubbery and not tasty.

When the squids are ready, I transfer them to a salad bowl and add butter and chopped walnuts and a few cloves of garlic to the same pan. Nuts can be chopped with a knife, but you can also use a blender, the main thing is not to turn them into flour, the nuts should be felt in the appetizer.

I fry them for just a few minutes and add a little parsley at the very end. Parsley needs to be finely chopped, in my opinion dill will not work here at all. I warm it up for another minute and remove it from the fire.

Then I send the nuts with garlic to the squid and mix well.

My husband and relatives were satisfied, I think that more than once I will be asked to cook this wonderful appetizer.

  • squid 300 grams
  • walnuts 70 grams
  • garlic 2-3 cloves
  • creamy little 30 grams
  • parsley, salt to taste
