✨Hello, my name is Oksana! I am glad to welcome everyone who has looked at my page. Thanks so much for taking the time to read my recipes! I would be grateful for your comments and subscriptions!
✅👌In childhood, grandmothers and mothers pampered many with delicious brushwood, which literally melted in their mouths. Remember this delicacy?
And today I want to share a recipe from my mom's old cookbook of exactly the same brushwood.
✨ This is probably the easiest recipe for delicious pastries, the dough contains only 2 ingredients, it is very easy to prepare. The structure of the finished brushwood is the most delicate, and here the expression "melts in your mouth" has a direct meaning! Give it a try - guaranteed, you'll love it!
📕To prepare crispy brushwood you will need: 🥙
Chicken egg (cat. S-1) - 2 pcs.
Wheat flour of the highest grade - 200 g (you may need a little more if the eggs are large)
A pinch of salt
Powdered sugar - for sprinkling before serving
Odorless sunflower oil - how much you need for frying.
👨🏻🍳 Let's start cooking... ⤵️⤵️⤵️
Break the eggs into a bowl, add a pinch of salt and just beat lightly with a fork.
Beat just until smooth, you do not need to beat until fluffy, the main thing is that the protein mixes with the yolk and ceases to be stringy.
Sift the flour into a separate deep bowl. To begin with, 200 grams, then at any time you can add more. Pour in the eggs little by little, immediately stirring the future dough. It will be lumpy at first.
We transfer it to the table and begin to knead with our hands. We wrinkle and stretch until it becomes uniform and smooth. Now you need to give the dough a rest. Cover it with a clean kitchen towel or cling film and leave it on the table for about 20 minutes.
Next, we cut off a small piece from the lump, hide the rest on a towel / film so that it does not get chapped. Roll out the slice as thin as possible. You see, through the dough, the pattern of the table top even shines through. The thinner the dough is rolled out, the crisper and tastier the brushwood will be.
Cut the dough into strips. It is very convenient to do this with a round-blade knife.
Pour a lot of oil into a frying pan or stewpan, the brushwood should float in it. We put on fire and wait until it gets warm enough. We spread the first batch of brushwood in the pan.
It fries quickly, in less than a minute, so don't yawn. As soon as the first side turns golden, we turn all the blanks over to the second barrel. We are waiting for some more time until the other side is browned.
Be sure to let the brushwood lie on a napkin after frying, so that the excess oil leaves the surface.
Here is such a pile of brushwood turned out literally out of nothing!
If desired, sprinkle the brushwood with powdered sugar - it will be even tastier.
