A crunchy summer snack made from young zucchini will appeal to everyone. It turns out to be so tasty that it instantly flies off the table! Just imagine: the tender flesh of young zucchini in a crispy cheese and rusk breading... And if you also serve it with garlic sauce, you can swallow your tongue!
This crispy zucchini appetizer is perfect for a big company, a family dinner or even a festive table. It is prepared very simply in the oven and without a drop of oil. The only condition: you need to take young zucchini with thin skin and soft seeds.
Be sure to try making such a zucchini appetizer in the summer season, it's amazingly delicious!
Ingredients:
- zucchini - 800 g
- bread crumbs - 150 g
- eggs - 3 pcs.
- cheese - 80 g
- flour - 50 g
- salt to taste
- Italian herbs - 1 tsp l.
- sweet paprika - 1 tsp l.
- dried garlic - 1 tsp l.
Sauce:
- mayonnaise -100 g
- dried garlic - 1/2 tsp l.
- dill - bunch
- ground black pepper - to taste
Step by step recipe
1. We take 2 small zucchini, with a total weight of about 800 g, and cut it into cubes. To do this, cut the zucchini across into 3 parts. We cut each of the parts lengthwise into 4 plates.
2. We cut the plates again into 4 parts and such blocks are obtained. So we cut all the zucchini.
Transfer the prepared zucchini to a bowl. Salt them a little and mix so that all the zucchini are evenly salted.
3. Beat eggs in a separate bowl. This amount of ingredients will need 3 eggs.
80 g three cheese on a fine grater.
4. Pour 150 g of bread crumbs into a dry bowl, add 1 tsp. Italian or Provencal herbs, 1 tsp. ground sweet paprika and 1 tsp. dry garlic. We also add grated cheese here. We mix everything.
5. Pour some of the zucchini into a bowl and sprinkle them with flour. You will need 50 g of flour in total.
Breeding zucchini. Put the boneless zucchini pieces in small portions in a beaten egg and dip them on all sides.
6. Then we shift these sticks into breadcrumbs with cheese and sprinkle them well from all sides.
Put the prepared squash cubes on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper. So we bread and lay out all the zucchini.
From this amount of ingredients, I got 2 such baking sheets of ready-made zucchini.
7. We put the prepared zucchini in preheated to 220 degrees. oven. We bake for 10-15 minutes.
8. While the zucchini is baking, prepare the sauce.
Finely chop a small bunch of dill.
9. We take 100 g of mayonnaise, my homemade one, and add 0.5 tsp. l. dried garlic, and add fresh dill. We mix everything. Instead of dried garlic, you can take 1-2 fresh cloves. To keep the sauce less greasy, you can use plain, thick yogurt instead of mayonnaise.
The zucchini appetizer in the oven turned out to be very tasty and aromatic. It is great even for those who follow their figure. It is not difficult to prepare it, but if you cook it together, then everything will be ready in 15 minutes.
