If you have a lot of apples, and you do not already know what to do with them, then freeze them for the winter. I have been doing this for several years now, and now I will share it in my own way.
Previously, they always made jam, jam, dried apples, but now, when everyone has modern refrigerators with a large freezer, you can freeze apples.
Relatives from the dacha brought me these fallen apples:
They are broken in places, eaten by insects in places - in general, they will not lie for a long time. Therefore, the best option is to make a blank out of them for the winter.
So, wash the apples, then they need to dry - excess moisture is not needed when freezing.
I put the washed apples on paper towels and blot them on top.
Now we cut the apples into cubes or small slices, immediately put them in a bag and put them in the freezer.
To prevent the apples from darkening, you need to do everything in portions - cut a part - immediately put it in the freezer.
And that’s all. After a few hours, you can take out the bags, shake them a little. Then you just take out the frozen apples and cook with them whatever you want - charlotte, apple roll, you can add to the compote.
I cook charlotte in winter, usually with frozen apples - everything is baked, the taste is no different from fresh apples.
Very comfortably! And saves time when cooking.
I know that some housewives sprinkle the sliced apples with a little sugar, mix and freeze. Honestly, I have not tried this method, I have no sugar. I add it later during cooking.
