Manniki. I know this recipe since childhood, my grandmother once prepared them for breakfast instead of semolina, so like semolina, no one wanted to eat, but we ate manna and asked for more additives, especially delicious with jelly.

Recipe:
water -200ml
milk -200ml
semolina -140g
salt -1 / 2 tsp.
sugar -2 tsp (or to taste)
butter -30-50g
COOKING METHOD
We take a suitable saucepan from me with a volume of 3.1 liters.
Pour in 200 ml of water and 200 ml of milk, you can pour only milk. Add salt 1/2 tsp., Sugar and to taste I add 2 tsp.. like sweeter add more.
Bring to a boil. I put a wooden spatula on the pan to prevent the milk from escaping, in case I take a guard.
Now add semolina 140 grams in a thin stream, stir constantly so that there are no lumps. The porridge should turn out to be thick enough, it should move away from the pan like this. Remove from heat and immediately add 50 g butter, stir. Now we immediately start sculpting manniks. We take about 1 tbsp. masses, by weight 50 grams, roll the balls and make a cake. I usually form with the help of a serving ring, I put the cones in the ring and press them with a special lid, these are such beautiful manniks.
From this amount, I get 10 pieces. I don’t roll manniki not in flour, not in breadcrumbs, tk. they already keep their shape well when frying.
We take a frying pan, pour vegetable oil, heat up, put manna and fry on both sides until golden brown.
Serve with jelly or jam, I especially love with lingonberry jam and of course with tea.
Here they are delicious, if you do not like semolina porridge, prepare manniki, you will definitely like them.
