And a big plus of this recipe is that cucumbers that are not salted are suitable for it: curves, multi-format and large cucumbers.
From the amount of products listed below, you get 3 liters of snack with a tail.
Ingredients:
2 kg of cucumbers
4 large onions
6 tbsp. l. coarse salt without a slide
3 cups sugar
4 tbsp. l. mustard seed
1 hour l. black peppercorns
4 cups apple cider vinegar
1 hour l. turmeric
How to cook:
1. Wash cucumbers, cut into circles 0.5 mm thick.
2. Peel and chop the onions into thin half rings.
3. Put prepared onions and cucumbers in a large bowl or saucepan. Add salt, mix well, put oppression on top and leave for 3 hours.
4. Throw the vegetables in a colander and drain the juice that has come out.
5. Vegetables should be rinsed under running cold running water and allowed to drain again in a colander.
Important! Don't be afraid to get carried away by flushing. In this case, the water is useful and it is necessary to rinse well, since the salt is absorbed into the cucumbers in sufficient quantities in 3 hours.
6. Wash and sterilize cans.
7. Pour the vinegar into a large saucepan. Add mustard seeds, turmeric and black pepper. Bring the mixture to a boil and add sugar. Be sure to stir well so that the sugar dissolves.
8. Place cucumbers and onions in the marinade, mix and boil the mixture. Continue stirring until the cucumbers change color - here you need to immediately turn off the heat.
9. Transfer the pickles to hot sterilized jars so that the marinade completely covers the vegetables. To do this, first the jars are tightly filled with vegetables, and then on top you need to pour the marinade from the pan with a spoon.
10. Tighten the jars with boiled lids, turn the jars upside down. No wrap required.
Allow the blanks to cool, then put them in a cold place for storage. After a month, you can try the sandwich cucumbers.
