I really love stewed cabbage. And I already had a video where I showed 7 of my favorite stewed cabbage recipes. See at the end of the article. And today I want to share one more recipe. I even insist - try it. Very tasty. And now is the time to try this dish, if, of course, you haven't cooked like that))
HOW TO COOK:
In a saucepan or deep frying pan, fry the onions in a little vegetable oil.
And I add sauerkraut to the onion. Precisely pickled! Fresh will not work here. And the more sour the cabbage, the tastier the dish will turn out.
It happens that sauerkraut is acidifying. And you can't just eat it. I add such cabbage to fillings for pies, pies, but most often I use it for this recipe. If you try it once, you will cook that way too.
I add a little water to the cabbage, cover and simmer for about 15 minutes.
And now the pumpkin. I rub it on a coarse grater. I took a Korean carrot grater today.
I always take pumpkins twice as much as cabbage. Believe me, there won't be much! And it won't be sweet! Exactly what you need! The sweetness of the pumpkin compensates for the acidity of the cabbage (or vice versa :)) and the dish turns out to be just perfect.
I poison the grated pumpkin to the cabbage. I stir, add black pepper and, if necessary, salt. If the cabbage is too salty, then, of course, you don't need to add salt.
I add a little more water, cover it again and simmer for another 15 minutes. If you like very soft cabbage, simmer for longer. But this time is quite enough for me.
Everything! You can have dinner! It is very tasty and very simple! Try it if you haven't cooked like this before and be sure to leave your feedback in the comments.
