The dish is actually very simple and hearty. Anything is suitable for a side dish: from potatoes to pasta and cereals.
Ingredients:
1 kg chicken
2-3 onions
3-4 tomatoes
garlic
parsley, cilantro and dill
dry herbs (thyme, basil, oregano)
hops-suneli
vegetable oil
salt
water or broth
How to cook:
1. Cut the whole chicken carcass into large pieces. You can use 1 kg of thighs, thighs, or just drumsticks.
2. Preheat a frying pan, grease it with oil, a little of it. Putting it in hot oil will give juice, which does not need to be poured, but it is better to drain it into a bowl and continue cooking for another 10 minutes.
3. Peel and chop the onions. Add to chicken.
4. In a mortar or bowl / cup, grind the garlic (3-5 prongs) with all the spices except fresh herbs. Transfer the mixture to the pan.
5. Finely chop the tomatoes and lightly simmer in a separate skillet until puree. Then send the tomatoes to the chicken.
6. Pour in the secreted stored juice and a little chicken broth or water. Cover and simmer for 25 minutes to soften the chicken and nourish the spice.
7. The finishing touch is fresh chopped herbs.
Ready!
You need to serve chakhokhbili hot with boiled rice, you can even serve pasta, potatoes, homemade bread.
