Holidays are just around the corner. And at any time of the year we celebrate birthdays, housewarming and more. Such a recipe will definitely not hurt anyone in the piggy bank.

Baked beef for a festive table

Ingredients:

  • 1-1.5 kg beef tenderloin
  • 50 gr. mustard (French)
  • 50 gr. mustard (regular)
  • 50 gr. horseradish
  • 5 cloves of garlic
  • coarse salt
  • ground black pepper
  • Dill
  • dry thyme or spice for meat

How to cook:

1. Rinse the beef, dry it with towels, put it on paper and let it dry.

2. Preheat oven to 180 degrees.

3. Mix half of the mustard and prepared table horseradish. Pass peeled garlic through a press to them.

4. Finely chop the dill greens, add thyme or meat spices to it. And now you can put the remaining mustard and horseradish here. That is, there should be two mixtures: with garlic and with herbs.

5. Fry the meat in a pan until a brown crust forms. It is advisable to fry without oil in a hot frying pan with a thick bottom. But if there is none, then a little bit of oil will not be superfluous.

Sprinkle with ground black pepper and coarse salt during frying.

Grease a fried piece of beef first with a mixture of garlic, put in a baking sheet and place in the oven for 30 minutes.

6. Then take it out to coat with a mixture of herbs and return to the oven until cooked.

Cooking time depends on the weight of the meat. You should not overdry the beef, but you will have to cook it - from 1 to 1.5 hours.

7. Remove the finished dish from the oven, cover with a large bowl and let the meat rest before serving.
