I take yesterday's mashed potatoes, add 300 grams of minced meat and prepare such a hearty dish: it looks great even on a festive table

✨ Such a potato with meat looks unusual and appetizing, so it can even be served on a festive table.

📕To prepare the dish you will need: 🥙

Mashed potatoes (or potatoes) - 500 g
Minced meat (any) - 300 g
Onions - 1 pc. (not shallow)
Chicken egg - 1 pc.
Semi-hard or hard cheese - 100 g
Salt - 1.5 tsp l.
Ground black pepper - 2 pinches

As I already said, for this dish you can use yesterday's ready-made mashed potatoes, which, for example, you did not finish for dinner and, as it were, are reluctant to finish eating them. But, of course, you can just boil the potatoes just before preparing this dish. We figured out the potatoes, now we will deal with the meat filling - remove the husk from the onion and cut it into small cubes. You can grate it on a coarse grater if you don't like it when you come across pieces of onion.

Mix chopped onion with minced meat, add 0.5 tsp. l. salt and a little pepper. You can also add other seasonings that you use when making cutlets. This time I have mixed minced meat (pork and beef), but you can take a different kind - chicken (from the legs), turkey, pork.

Mix everything thoroughly and put it in the refrigerator for now.

This time I boil the potatoes and while they are still hot, knead them with a crush. You cannot use a blender for grinding - the puree will turn into a paste. You don't need to add milk or butter to the potatoes.

We drive in an egg and pour in salt, if you didn't add it while cooking.

Once again, knead everything thoroughly so that there are no lumps left.

Let the mashed potatoes cool slightly and form small balls out of it, and then put them on a baking sheet greased with vegetable oil.

In each workpiece, we make indentations using a glass with a flat bottom.

We trim the blanks. Such nests will turn out.

We divide all minced meat into parts according to the number of nests. Roll up a ball from each part and put it in the groove in the potato. We send the dish to bake in the oven preheated to 180 degrees, for about 35-45 minutes.

During this time, of course, we have time to prepare the cheese, it is enough just to grate it on a coarse grater.

We take out the potatoes with meat and sprinkle each portion with cheese.

Return to the oven for another 7-10 minutes, until the cheese is melted.

Serve immediately after preparation. "Cutlets" are juicy, and the potatoes are crispy on the outside and very tender on the inside.
