Ingredients:
- puff pastry - 500 g
- sausage - 200 g
- cheese - 300 g
Sauce:
- tomato paste - 70 g
- water - 70 g
- onion - 1 pc.
- garlic - 2 cloves
- salt - 1/2 tsp l.
- sugar - 1 tsp l.
- bay leaf - 1 pc.
- basil - 1 tsp l.
- oregano - 1/2 tsp l.
Step by step recipe
1. First, let's prepare the tomato sauce. Finely chop one onion. Also finely chop two cloves of garlic.
2. Fry the chopped onion in a hot pan with a little vegetable oil. When the onion is golden, add the chopped garlic and fry for about another minute.
3. Dilute 70 g of tomato paste with water until the consistency of sour cream.
4. Pour the diluted tomato paste into the pan and mix everything.
5. To this we add half a teaspoon of salt, 1 tsp. l. sugar, 1 bay leaf, 1 tsp. l. basil and ½ tsp. l. oregano.
Mix everything, cover with a lid and simmer for about 3 minutes over low heat.
6. You will also need half a kilogram of ready-made puff pastry for a snack. I have 2 sheets of 250 g each.
Roll out a sheet of puff pastry a little. Grease the rolled dough with the prepared sauce. If you don't have time to make the sauce, you can use ready-made ketchup.
7. Put thinly sliced sausage on the sauce. Put slices of cheese on top of the sausage. For 2 sheets of puff pastry, you will need 200 g of sausage and 300 g of cheese.
Roll the prepared dough with filling into a roll.
8. We cut each roll into pieces about 2.5 - 3 cm wide.
Put the cut rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. We put the rolls so that there is free space between them.
9. We put a baking sheet with rolls in a preheated oven up to 200 degrees. We bake for about 25 minutes.
