We call this dish "Festive Potatoes" because we cook it exclusively on holidays. The plus here is that the ingredients are the simplest, but such potatoes look very beautiful and unusual. Festive! You can cook this dish in advance, and just preheat it in the oven before serving.
I will immediately share a few more recipes for delicious potato dishes that I cook for the festive table:
I have collected all these recipes in one video (see the end of the article). And potatoes "Festive" too))
HOW TO COOK:
I peel and boil the potatoes in salted water.
While the potatoes are boiling, I prepare the filling. I fry the onions in vegetable or butter and add the chopped meat (I take boiled or baked meat). Salt and add black pepper.
Mash potatoes in mashed potatoes. I add butter, grated cheese, and spices (usually I take some garlic and some nutmeg). I mix (I do this using a potato press).
Now the egg yolks. I add and knead the potatoes again.
I transfer the potatoes to a pastry syringe and squeeze them onto a baking sheet. Like this:
You can use a pastry bag or a dense bag of milk or sour cream for this. Cover the baking sheet with baking paper. I am using a reusable silicone mat.
Now I spread the prepared meat filling on the flat cakes. And I also cover the top with potatoes:
I preheat the oven to 220 degrees. I put the baking sheet in the oven and cook for 10-15 minutes.
