Some call this dish meat in Korean, someone is sure of the Uzbek origin of the snack. But still it turns out very tasty and satisfying.
Ingredients:
- 1 kg of carrots
- 2 onions
- 1 hour l. salt
- unrefined vegetable oil
- 0.5 kg of beef
- 1 hour l. cumin
- 2 cloves of garlic
- cilantro, basil
How to cook:
1. Grate or cut carrots into thin strips. Mix with salt and leave for 15-20 minutes.
2. Squeeze out the released juice - it contains all the bitterness, it is not needed for the salad.
3. Dice the onions, chop the beef into strips or finely.
4. Saute the onion in vegetable oil. It is best to take the unrefined, the most fragrant. Ideally sesame or olive.
5. Add beef to the onion. Fry until tender, then garlic passed through a press here and mix.
6. Transfer the contents from the skillet to the carrots. Pour in cumin. Mix everything again and cool. Better to place in the cold or refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
7. To serve, chop fresh cilantro or basil and sprinkle on top of the appetizer. You can also sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds.
Only an hour and a half and a couple of ingredients, but this dish seems to take you to Asia. Here is such an interesting and simple treat without mayonnaise.
