Baked beets in marinade

Marinated baked beets - tasty and healthy

Ingredients:

  • beet
  • salt
  • ground black pepper
  • greenery
  • vegetable oil for baking

For the marinade:

  • 2-3 cloves of garlic
  • 2 tbsp. l. vegetable oil
  • 1 hour l. honey or syrup
  • 1 tbsp. l. vinegar (tastier with apple cider or wine)

How to cook:

1. Wash the beets thoroughly. If possible, peel and cut into wedges. Not too large or too small.

2. Line a baking dish with foil or baking paper 4. Bake the beets in an oven preheated to 200 degrees for 30 minutes. Then turn the beets and bake for another 20 minutes. It may take more or less time, as it greatly depends on the oven and the size of the beet pieces.

3. Grease foil or paper with vegetable oil and spread out the beetroot wedges. Top with a little salt and season with ground pepper.

4. Bake the beets in an oven preheated to 200 degrees for 30 minutes. Then turn the beets and bake for another 20 minutes. It may take more or less time, as it greatly depends on the oven and the size of the beet pieces.

5. Chop the garlic for the marinade. Add some honey, oil and vinegar. You don't need to salt and pepper, but you can do it to taste.

6. Put the finished beets in a bowl, if necessary, peel the remnants of the skin.

7. Season the beets with marinade and chopped herbs. Stir and leave in the refrigerator for 1 hour. And serve immediately. But if you keep it in the cold for more than a day, it will turn out even tastier and spicier.

If desired, lemon zest or lemon juice, any spices and herbs are added to the marinade.
