You can bake fancy cookies for Christmas! Almond shortbread dough with a layer of fragrant orange jam is incredibly tasty! This kind of Christmas treat is perfect for a family tea party. And everyone will be happy to receive such delicious orange cookies as a gift! #Christmas
Ingredients: butter, icing sugar, vanillin or vanilla sugar, orange, flour, ground almonds or almond flour, baking powder, salt, orange jam
Cooking method:
Prepare softened butter, icing sugar, vanillin, orange peel. Beat until fluffy and smooth.
Separately mix flour, almond flour (almonds), baking powder, salt. Combine both mixtures and mix into crumbs. Add juice of 1/2 orange. Knead the dough, adding more juice if necessary (I lost the juice of a whole orange).
Divide the dough in two and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Roll out the dough about 3-5 mm thick and cut out circles, flowers (my version), squares or hearts. Bake for about 10 minutes in a preheated oven (180). Cut out similar figures from the second half of the dough. Make "windows" in them (I have "flowers"). Bake for about 10 minutes in a preheated oven (180).
Grease the first part of the cookies with jam and cover with the second part. Fill the resulting "windows" with jam.
