This first course is ideal for both adults and children. A great alternative to pasta and noodles. In a way, dumplings are "empty" dumplings. They are made from flour and eggs, which makes them taste completely home-like and cozy.
It is impossible to establish who is the author of this invention, since dumplings are present in many European cuisines, as well as similar dishes.exist in Tatar, Jewish, Bashkir, Canadian and Karakalpak cuisines.
We prepare the simplest dumplings!
Ingredients:
chicken leg
3 l of water
4 potatoes
onion
parsley
egg
3 tbsp. l. sour cream
flour
salt
pepper
Bay leaf
How to cook:
1. Pour the leg with water and put on fire, bring to a boil and drain the liquid. Pour in fresh water and now we begin to cook a delicious and healthy broth.
It is advisable to remove the skin from the chicken, since the broth turns out to be cloudy from it.
2. Peel the potatoes and onion, cut everything into cubes and put in boiling water for the chicken.
3. Wash and chop the parsley.
4. Cooking dumplings. To do this, beat an egg with a pinch of salt and pepper in a bowl. Add sour cream and a couple of fresh chopped parsley sprigs.
5. Start sprinkling flour with a tablespoon into the egg. She is without measure, exclusively by eye and by sensations. The dough should be slightly thicker than for the pancakes. Not very dense, as the dumplings are tender, not tough.
6. Once the chicken and potatoes in the broth are ready, it's time to make the dumplings. This will require two spoons and a glass of water. Both spoons need to be moistened with some water, then scoop out the dough with one, and move the second from the first spoon into the boiling soup.
7. The dumplings cook very quickly. And five minutes will not pass, and they are ready. However, it is still worth boiling the soup, salt to taste. Then season with black pepper and bay leaves. Optionally add a slice of butter or 1 tbsp. l. vegetable.
Chicken dumpling soup is ready! The broth itself is tasty and satisfying, but with dumplings it will be even tastier. When serving, add some fresh parsley to each plate.
