Ingredients: fillet of herring, red onion, eggs, carrots, potatoes, beets, For decoration, green onions, red onions, dill, mayonnaise

Cooking method:

We prepare all the ingredients: we boil vegetables: carrots, potatoes, eggs and beets, we cool the boiled vegetables, peel and rub on a coarse grater. Peel and finely chop the onions. Cut the herring fillet into small cubes. Preparing a round shape for the salad! If there is no form, you can cut out the bottom in a plastic jar and get a form, I have a diameter of 12 cm. Place the mold on a suitable plate.

All the products are prepared, we begin to collect our salad in layers: put the herring on the bottom of the mold with the first layer, cover a thin layer of mayonnaise and distribute well over the entire surface, lay out the onion with the second layer, a little of it we tamp.

In the 3rd layer I will have boiled carrots, put the carrots on top of the onions, distribute well over the entire surface, tamp with a tablespoon and coat with mayonnaise throughout surface. Lay out the potatoes in the 4th layer, evenly distribute, tamp, salt and pepper to taste, coat with mayonnaise; ❗️potatoes with carrots can be swapped.

With the next fifth layer, lay out the eggs, level well, tamp, cover with mayonnaise and distribute well over the entire surface of the salad.

With the final top sixth layer, spread the beets, tamp and again cover with a layer of mayonnaise over the entire surface.

We cover the salad dish with cling film and put it in the refrigerator for soaking for 2-3 hours or overnight, so our salad will be well cooled and soaked.

Before serving, we take the salad out of the refrigerator, remove the cling film, then the detachable form, and decorate the salad as desired! I decorated with green onions, red onions and dill! Bon Appetit!
