Christmas cake with nuts, candied fruits and dried fruits. The taste and aroma of the holiday in every bite!

Ingredients: raisins, candied fruits, cashews, almonds, rum, warm milk, dry yeast, sugar, eggs, vanillin, flour, salt, soft butter, egg with 1 tbsp. l. water (to grease the cake)

Cooking method:

Pour raisins, almonds, cashews and candied fruits with rum (or other alcohol) and let it brew for 2-3 hours. It is best to leave it overnight, so nuts and dried fruits will absorb rum better, and they will have an interesting taste.

Pour warm milk into a container.

Pour sugar and yeast into it. Stir well with a whisk until completely dissolved.

Then add eggs. Stir again.

Pour in flour with salt and vanilla. Knead the dough.

Add butter (or vegetable) oil and knead the dough for 7-10 minutes.

Cover with cling film and leave in a warm place for an hour or two.

Then add dried fruits and nuts with rum to the dough.

Leave some nuts and dried fruits from the total mass to decorate the cake.

Knead the dough again. Place on a work surface sprinkled with flour and form an even ball.

Transfer the workpiece to a baking sheet with parchment.

Make a hole in the center with a diameter of at least 8 cm. Place an ovenproof cup or steel mold in this hole.

Place the dried fruits and nuts, one by one, around the entire perimeter of the pie, pressing a little.

Cover the blank with cling film and leave to proof for another 40 minutes.

Brush the cake with the egg mixture.

Bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 40 minutes. Willingness to check with a wooden skewer, it must be dry.

Cool the pie and garnish with melted chocolate if desired.
