#newyear I learned that turkey is called the bird of happiness, as its meat increases the production of the hormone serotonin, which improves the mood 😃 Therefore, probably, turkey is traditionally prepared for the festive table in different countries. And turkey drumstick meat is considered the softest and most juicy, tasty and healthy!
Ingredients: Fresh turkey drumstick, good quality, Soy sauce, Lemon juice, Sugar, Mustard, Garlic, Olive oil, Curry, Paprika, Salt, Ground pepper
Cooking method:
Prepare turkey drumstick and marinade spices. Rinse your shins, blot the moisture on top with napkins. Make several longitudinal cuts with a knife along the entire lower leg, right down to the bone.
Prepare the marinade. Pour the soy sauce and some oil into a bowl. Squeeze the juice out of the lemon. Add spices - curry, paprika, sugar and salt. Add chopped garlic and a little mustard. Mix all components thoroughly until a homogeneous marinade is obtained.
Place the turkey in an ovenproof dish of a suitable size, pour the marinade on top so that it completely envelops the drumstick. Also, be sure to pour the marinade into the incisions. Marinate the drumstick for at least 1 hour, but longer.
After that, close the turkey dish tightly with foil, send to the oven. Bake for 1-1.5 hours, the time depends on the size of the drumstick and your oven.
20 minutes before cooking, remove the foil so that the top of the lower leg is slightly browned.
The turkey drumstick can be cooked in advance, then 20 minutes before cooking, remove the turkey drumstick from the oven and store in the refrigerator after cooling. Before serving, place the drumstick in a preheated oven for 30 minutes to brown the drumstick.
Remove the cooked drumstick from the oven, let it cool slightly and carefully separate the meat from the bone, pour over the warmed sauce formed from the baking, serve with a side dish. I have young potatoes baked in the oven. The recipe is on my culinary page. Decorate with herbs.
