Ingredients: kefir (2.5%), egg, salt, sugar, vegetable oil, baking powder, flour, for sprinkling, sugar
Cooking method:
Pour 150 ml of kefir at room temperature into a bowl (I have a fat content of 2.5%), drive in 1 egg, add a pinch of salt, pour 3 tbsp. sugar and add 70 ml of odorless vegetable oil. Mix well with a whisk until smooth.
Now pour 1 tsp into the dough. baking powder and add 380 g of sifted flour in 2 steps. We knead the dough.
When the dough has gathered in a single lump, we go to work on the table. Knead the dough until smooth and elastic. It should be soft and not sticky to your fingers.
Divide the dough into 2 parts, each of which is divided into two more halves and each such half is divided into 4 - 6 more pieces. We try to keep all the pieces the same size.
To prevent the dough from getting aired, cover it with a bag, take one part of the dough and roll it into a thin oval-shaped layer. The thinner you roll, the more layered the cookies will be. Now we roll it into a tube and roll it with our hands into a thinner "sausage".
Then we twist it into a "snail", flatten the free edge of the dough and bend it down under the "snail". We fix it well so that our form does not creep out during baking, and dip the top side in sugar. We do the same with the rest of the blanks.
We put the snails on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper.
We put to bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 25-30 minutes. My cookies were baked for exactly 25 minutes. We take it out of the oven and let it cool to a slightly warm state. Bon Appetit!
