Ingredients: Water, Pearl barley, Potatoes, Pickled cucumbers, Carrots (small), Onion (small), Tomato paste, Sunflower oil, Parsley (greens)
Cooking method:
Rinse the pearl barley and soak in boiling water for 1 hour. I have pre-cooked pearl barley in my freezer, packaged in sachets. Very comfortably! It turns out quickly to cook this or that dish with pearl barley!
Pour water into a saucepan, put steamed pearl barley and cook for 10-15 minutes.
Add diced potatoes to the cereal and cook for another 5-7 minutes.
Peel the carrots and onions, chop the onions, grate the carrots.
In a frying pan in sunflower oil, fry the onions and carrots for 1-2 minutes.
Add pickled cucumbers, cut into strips, to the onions and carrots and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
Send the finished frying with cucumbers to the pan. Cook over medium heat for 10 minutes.
Add tomato paste and chopped herbs. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
Insist the prepared pickle under the lid for 10-15 minutes.
Lean pickle with barley is ready. Pour into plates and serve.
