#fast Wonderful, tasty and fragrant cakes from my grandmother! They are crispy on top and soft and flaky in the middle. There is nothing difficult in preparing these cakes, because they are prepared from a simple choux pastry for dumplings. In my childhood, my grandmother very often sculpted my favorite dumplings: sometimes with cottage cheese, sometimes with cherries. And when the filling was over, and the dough remained, the grandmother baked cakes from it. Oh, how delicious were these cakes! Grandmother cooked other cakes, also very tasty. But I'll tell you about them next time. Now I cook all sorts of cakes, pastries, a variety of delicious pastries. But sometimes I really want the simplest grandmother's cakes! I baked it yesterday.

Ingredients: For dough:, flour, salt, boiling water, egg, vegetable oil, For lubrication:, soft butter, For frying:, vegetable oil

Cooking method:

Let's prepare the dough. Sift flour, add salt, egg, vegetable oil and mix everything. Pour a glass of boiling water and quickly knead with a spoon. The dough immediately grabs into a ball. We spread the mass on the work surface and bring the choux pastry to smoothness. We form a ball out of it, put it in a bag and leave it on the table to rest for 20 minutes.

Divide the dough into the desired number of pieces. We roll each piece into a thin layer and grease with soft butter.

We fold the layer in half, grease with oil and fold it in half again. This is the shape of the cakes.

We lay the blanks on a plank, often pierce each with a fork and fry in a pan in hot oil on both sides.

Hot cakes with sweet tea - just the height of bliss! These are some delicious childhood memories...
