Of course, the recipe is not new. Of course, I'm not the only one doing this. Of course, it will not work to surprise anyone (and I'm not trying to). But I decided to share the recipe anyway. If you haven't tried it this way, I highly recommend it!
HOW TO COOK:
I wash potatoes well (I use a new dishwashing sponge for this) I usually do not peel the skin. I cut the potatoes into wedges.
Then I add spices and salt. Spices, of course, you can take any. I usually take dry herbs, some aromatic herbs, a mixture of peppers and a pinch of ground coriander. I add vegetable oil (I have olive oil) and mix.
I spread the potatoes on a baking sheet and put in an oven preheated to 190 degrees. I cook 35-40 minutes. But, of course, it all depends on the variety of potatoes and on the oven itself.
I spread the potatoes on a silicone mat (or you can use parchment paper). I never use foil - potatoes stick to it. I spread the slices at a small distance from each other. Then the potatoes will bake well and evenly.
Sprinkle the finished potatoes with finely chopped garlic and herbs. Served with sour cream sauce. Very tasty. I have already shared the sauce recipe here:
Yes, there are no secrets here. Everything is simple and clear here. But there is a more interesting way to cook such potatoes. And faster!
I peel the potatoes, cut them into slices in the same way. I rinse very well in cold water. Times 3-4.
Then I pour boiling water over the potatoes, cover with a plate and let stand for 2-3 minutes. Then I pour out the boiling water.
And I spread the potatoes on a paper towel. Now the potato wedges need to be dried thoroughly.
I add oil, salt and spices. Here I took ready-made seasoning for potatoes and black pepper.
And now my secret is breadcrumbs. It's cereal. I make my own crackers. Recipe here:
I add crackers to potatoes. And I add some oil. I mix and - on a baking sheet.
Also, at a distance, spread. I put it in an oven preheated to 180 degrees and - until cooked. Usually, with this method of preparing potatoes, it takes 20-25 minutes. But, of course, look at your oven.
Potatoes come out with a crispy (very crispy) and tasty crust and a very soft middle.
