Ingredients: frozen plums, water, sugar, yeast-free puff pastry (1 layer), ground cinnamon if desired, for serving, vanilla ice cream, walnuts
Cooking method:
Take the dough out of the freezer and let it thaw completely. Frozen plums put in a pan with a cut down, pour water and turn on the fire to maximum. As the water boils, the plum will begin to defrost and release juice, add sugar, cinnamon, mix and caramelize the plums over low heat for 10 minutes.
Roll out the dough into a square larger than the bottom of the pan (I made the size of the top of the pan). Cover the plums with a layer of dough, tuck it in around the edges with a wooden spatula, cut off the excess and, if necessary, close the holes.
Bake in the lower rack of the oven for 15 minutes at 220° until the dough has risen and browned. Allow the cake to cool slightly and to let the dough fall, place a dish larger than the baking dish on top baking, put on kitchen gloves and carefully turn the cake over, the dough will be on the bottom, and the plums in caramel above.
Let cool slightly, cut into portions and serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, like a strudel, sprinkle with chopped walnuts on top.
