Such an appetizer turns out very tasty with homemade buns. Below I give a recipe for making sour cream buns with sesame seeds. They turn out soft and tender, and they are easy to prepare. This recipe can also be used to make homemade burgers. However, if you don't want to bother with baking, you can buy ready-made buns and stuff them. By the way, the filling is also very tasty and can be served as a salad. Instead of sausage, you can add any prepared meat to the filling.

Ingredients:
Sour cream buns:
- flour - 450 g
- butter - 100 g
- sour cream - 100 ml
- water - 100 ml
- eggs - 2 pcs.
- pressed yeast - 20 g
- sugar - 2 tbsp. l.
- sesame seeds - 1 tsp l.
- salt - 1/2 tsp. l.
Filling:
- young cabbage - 250 g
- sausage - 150 g
- sweet pepper - 1 pc.
- carrots - 1 pc.
- mayonnaise - 2 tbsp. l. salt - to taste
Step by step recipe
1. First, knead the dough for sour cream buns.
Pour 100 ml of warm water into a bowl and crumble 20 g of pressed yeast. Here we pour 2 tbsp. l. Sahara. Mix everything until sugar and yeast dissolve.
Leave for 15 minutes for the yeast to start working.
2. When the mixture begins to foam a little, knead the dough further. Pour 100 ml of sour cream of any fat content into a bowl to the dough, break 1 egg and add 1/2 tsp. l. salt. We mix everything until smooth.
3. Here we pour flour in several approaches. Mix first with a whisk and then with your hands. I needed 450 g of flour. Knead the dough until smooth, about 4-5 minutes.
4. In the already kneaded dough, add 100 g of soft, but not melted butter. Knead the dough again. The dough should turn out smooth, homogeneous and when kneading should come off the bowl and hands.
5. We cover the dough with cling film and leave it on the table for about 40-60 minutes. The dough should increase in volume by 1.5-2 times.
6. The dough has already risen. We take it out on the table and divide it into 12 approximately identical parts.
We crush each piece of dough in and form a smooth bun out of it.
7. We put it on the table and give it a rounded shape with your hand. We do not press the dough, we only twist it at hand. It turns out a beautiful and even ball.
Place all dough balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Let the buns rest for a few minutes.
8. When the dough of the bun has increased in volume, grease them with a beaten egg. Sprinkle the greased buns with sesame seeds.
9. We put everything in the oven preheated to 180 degrees. Bake for approximately 25-30 minutes.
Buns are ready, leave them to cool.
10. While the buns are cooling, prepare the filling.
Finely chop 250 g of young white cabbage. Three fresh carrots on a coarse grater.
11. We cut 150 g of sausage first into plates, and then we cut the plates into small cubes. One sweet pepper is also cut into cubes.
12. Put prepared cabbage, peppers, sausage and grated carrots in a bowl. Salt to taste and season with 2 tbsp. mayonnaise. We mix everything. The filling is ready.
13. We cut off the hats of the already cooled buns. Carefully remove the crumb from the bottom of each bun.
Put the prepared filling in the middle and cover with a lid from the bun. The stuffed buns are ready to serve.
New York buns turned out fragrant, tender and very tasty. My kids call them homemade burgers. If there is no time to bake buns, then you can buy them and stuff them. Then it will be even faster. New York buns can be made in advance and reheated in the microwave.
