Melt the honey in a saucepan over low heat. Add soda. Stirring constantly, boil over low heat for 1-2 minutes, until a caramel shade is obtained.
Remove saucepan from heat. Add the butter to the honey mixture and wait until it melts completely.
Beat the eggs at the maximum speed of the mixer for 5 minutes, gradually adding all the sugar. I also added a pinch of salt.
Turn on the oven to heat up to 160 degrees. Add the cooled mixture of honey and butter to the eggs.
Pour the flour into a bowl in parts and mix thoroughly ๐ the dough turned out to be liquid as it should be ๐
We divide the dough into 2 parts. Put half of the dough on a baking sheet greased with vegetable oil. With a spatula, smooth the dough over the entire area.
Bake the honey cake at a temperature of 160 degrees for 6-8 minutes, until the cake is ready. Baking may take a little longer or less time depending on the thickness of the crust. Bake the second cake in the same way.
Trim the edges of the finished cakes. I cut into 4 cubes. I grind the scraps from the cakes in a blender.
Mix sour cream with powdered sugar. Spread the cooled cakes with sour cream. Grease the top and sides of the cake with cream too.
Sprinkle the cake with crumbs on all sides. Let the honey cake soak for 3-4 hours.
