The other day I was preparing myself ala pilaf with chicken and barley, and I want to share with you retseptikom.
KBZHU: K - 145, B - 17.7, M - 2.3, I - 14
We need:
- 2 medium chicken breast fillet (approximately 800 g)
- 200-250 g of barley,
- 1 large carrot,
- medium onion,
- salt, seasoning for pilaf, cumin, barberry, 2 garlic cloves.
Preparation.
The first thing you need to soak barley. If you decided to cook pilaf with barley in the morning, then soak overnight. I cooked the evening - soaked in the morning.
Cut into medium slices of chicken.
Rub carrots or finely chopped, chopped onion.
Put the pan into the fire, adding 10 ml of olive oil (about 2 tsp), and fried carrots and onions. That does not stick, add a little water.
When the carrots and onions are semi-finished, add the chicken and spices, salt to taste and mix all. Dye stand 5 minutes.
Add the barley and fill with water and stir. You do not need much water, much like in the photo below.
Cover with lid and simmer until cooked barley, stirring occasionally. If the barley is not ready, and the water has been absorbed and the whole boiled away - a little sneaky waters.
