Amazing homemade savory pastries with mushrooms! You definitely haven’t baked such pies sticks yet. They are obtained not only the original appearance, but also very tasty. They are great instead of bread for first courses, and even with tea they are a real treat. Preparing such pies sticks with mushrooms is easy and the products will need the most affordable. And these sticks can be baked with other fillings. A savory curd filling is perfect here. Be sure to treat your family on a day off with such an unusual and delicious homemade cake, it's not difficult at all.

Ingredients:

Dough:

  • flour - 450-500 g
  • milk - 200 ml
  • eggs - 2 pcs.
  • butter - 50 g
  • pressed yeast - 15 g
  • sugar - 1 tsp. l.
  • salt - 1 tsp. l.

Filling:

  • champignons - 700 g
  • onion - 2 pcs.
  • salt - to taste
  • ground black pepper - to taste
  • vegetable oil - for frying

Topping:

  • eggs - 1 pc.
  • sesame seeds - 1 tbsp. l.

Step by step recipe

1. First, knead the dough. Pour 200 ml of warm milk into a bowl, pour 1 tsp. l. sugar and crumble 15 g of pressed yeast. Mix everything with a whisk until sugar and yeast are completely dissolved. Leave the dough at room temperature for 10 minutes for the yeast to begin its activity.

2. 10 minutes have passed. Break 2 eggs into a mixing bowl. Pour 1 hr. l. without a pile of salt. Mix everything with a whisk until smooth.

3. Here we pour about 450-500 g of flour in several approaches. Knead the dough first with a whisk, then with your hands. Knead the dough for about 3 minutes until it becomes smooth and uniform.

4. At the end of the kneading, add 50 g of soft, but not melted butter to the dough. Again knead until smooth. Cover the dough with a towel and leave to rise for about 40 minutes. It should increase by 1.5-2 times.

5. While the dough is rising, prepare the filling. 700 g of mushrooms, washed and cut into small cubes. Two medium-sized onions are also cut into cubes.

6. Place chopped mushrooms in a large skillet. Cook them over high heat until all the liquid has evaporated.

7. When the liquid has evaporated, pour a little vegetable oil into the pan. We also put chopped onion here. Fry the onion with mushrooms until the onion is golden. At the end, salt the mushrooms to taste. And pepper with black ground pepper. Mix everything and remove from heat. The filling is ready.

8. The dough has already risen. We take it out of the bowl and put it on the table. Roll out the dough into a large rectangle about 30cm x 60cm.

9. Divide the rolled dough into strips about 8-10 cm wide. On each strip in the middle lay out the prepared mushroom filling.

10. Pinch the dough well on top. We prepare all the sticks in this way. Transfer the patties to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Flip the sticks seam side down while flipping. I didn’t fit everything on one baking sheet, I baked them in 2 sets. Cover the baking sheet with a towel and leave to rise for about 10 minutes.

11. Break one egg into a bowl and beat it with a fork.

12. The pies are already a little off. Brush them with beaten egg. Sprinkle the top with sesame seeds.

13. We put everything in the oven preheated to 180 degrees. Bake for approximately 25 minutes.
