Cookies " Hearts with Jam"

Ingredients: egg, sugar, butter, flour, jam

Cooking method:

Mix room temperature butter and sugar.

Add egg and mix well.

Add the sifted flour and knead the dough. The dough is shortbread, so you do not need to knead it for a long time! As soon as it gathers in a lump, we stop kneading!

Place the dough in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.

Remove the dough from the refrigerator and pinch off a small piece (slightly larger than a walnut), roll into a small ball, put on a baking sheet covered with baking paper. Gently press the ball of dough with your hand to make it flat.

Take a teaspoon or a tablespoon, dip its handle into the flour and make 2 small indentations. Get a heart!

Carefully fill the hearts with jam: you can spread it with a spoon, or you can use a pastry bag.

Bake cookies in a well-heated oven at 180°C for 10-15 minutes. The baking time depends on the characteristics of your oven. If the jam leaked out a little after baking, you can add a little to the hearts. Happy tea!
