How to make Ukrainian beef borscht on the bone is a simple recipe. I call this dish a woman's love potion;) In my opinion, this potion is even tastier on the second day! It seems to be such a simple and everyday dish, but every housewife has her own cooking secret 🙊

Ukrainian beef borscht on the bone

Ingredients: Beef meat on the bone, Potato, Cabbage, Onion, Carrot, Beetroot, Tomato paste, Bay leaf, Garlic, Butter, Frying oil, Greens, Lemon or 1/2 tsp. tablespoons of vinegar, for those who love sourness

Cooking method:

Boil meat with bay leaf. When the meat is cooked (drain the broth), add the peeled potatoes and chopped cabbage. The lid is not completely closed. Heat up a frying pan, add some vegetable oil. Put the chopped onion first, then grated carrots on a coarse grater, fry until soft, add tomato paste.

Three beets on a grater and fry separately until soft.

When cabbage and potatoes are almost ready, put stewed vegetables on top of them. Add salt and pepper to taste.

To mix everything. Leave to simmer on a VERY SLOW fire to saturate.

10 minutes before readiness, dip the peeled heads of garlic into the borscht and add lemon juice or vinegar (I add vinegar).

At the end of cooking, add butter, turn off the stove, cover and let it brew for 30 minutes.

Pour borscht on plates and garnish with herbs and sour cream. Bon Appetit.
